Drawing From Illustration!
Lesson Objective: How can I use my knowledge of facial dimension to sketch a realistic portrait?

1. Select four images or photographs of frontal view illustrations.
Please choose 2 males and 2 female images of different ethnicities.
These images could be any person of your choice; select from celebrities, rolemodels, political figures, models, adverts, sports representatives, athletes, family or friends.

2. Follow the instructions on the worksheets below, practicing and completing four different illustrations of realistic, frontal view, faces on four seperate blank sheets of drawing or sketchbook paper.

3. Once your frontal view faces have been sketched, you must shade your work according to the light source of the photograph on the facial features to create a realistic portrait. Present your work neatly.

4. Staple or glue the photograph or image to the back on your drawing for proper dimension, comparison; submit for a mark.
